Lotus7919
This lotus flower (Nelumbo sp.) that is just opening
caught my eye and tingled my photographer senses. First, the low
light caused it to "glow." Second, the shape of the unfurling
petals begged to become a picture.
I took this photo almost immedately and then checked other
angles. This one turned out to be the best angle for the photo
since the dark background allows the lighter colors of the flower
to pop. None of the other angles provided that rich, dark
background.
