Parrotia
Vital statistics
A great small tree for foliage effect and bark. 20-30' tall and
wide. Best in full sun or part shade and well drained soil. Once
established, very tolerant of heat and drought.
Leaves emerge red-purple in spring and turn yellow-orange to
orange in fall. The bark peels as the tree ages, revealing a
pattern of gray, green and white.
