Fall color
One of our outstanding native small trees is dogwood (Cornus
florida). The fall color is usually a deep red to maroon.

Another native dogwood that is attractive in the fall is
greystem dogwood (Cornus racemosa). It not only gets a
nice maroon color but has white fruit that stands out until the
wildlife eat them.
