 North American woodland wildflower spring beauty (Claytonia virginica) in bloom attracts a pollinator. This tiny relative of moss rose/portulaca often carpets a whole forest floor in April, and so is an important nectar source despite its 3" stature and ephemeral ways (dormant by late May).
