When inspecting plants for problems a gardener often needs help to see tiny pests. A magnifiying lens does the job (this one is a 10x loupe) and is easy to carry around. We're looking at this magnolia twig for any early signs of mites -- follow up to be sure the previous year's remedies (pruning, watering, fertilizing and hosing off) did the trick.
