The Mackinaw Bridge crosses the straits of Mackinac where Lake
Michigan and Lake Huron meet. It connects Mackinaw City at the tip
of Michigan's mitten-shaped lower peninsula to Saint Ignace in its
Upper Peninsula. The five mile span is the fourth longest
suspension bridge in the world. Here the bridge is encased in fog
on a wintery day.
