Celia Ryker
Celia Ryker owns Hadley Hill Farm &
Gardens
in Ortonville, Michigan and does consulting and design. Celia
grew up among her mother's gardens but did not become the avid
gardener she is today until injuries caused her to retire from
training, teaching and showing horses. She found something she was
as excited about as horses and received certification from Michigan
State University as an Advanced Master Gardener, Master Woodland
Steward and Master Conservation Steward. In 2003 she earned
certificates in Gardening Fine Arts as well as Landscape and Garden
Design from the Michigan School of Gardening and became an
Instructor for the school in 2006. Celia is a member of the
Association of Professional Gardeners and the Ecological
Landscapers Association. Splitting her time between Michigan
and a family camp in the Vermont woods, she is active with Vermont
Coverts, which works with property owners to promote
stewardship of forests and woodlands for wildlife.
